You need to be in Australia for 1 working day, prior to your wedding ceremony.
The original "Notice of Intended Marriage" form must be lodged with your Celebrant,
1 month and 1 day prior to your wedding ceremony.
You can download this form on www.ag.gov.au/celebrants
Copies of the following need to accompany the Intended Marriage Form,
* Please bring originals with you for the Marriage Celebrant to certify on the day
* Valid passports
* Birth Certificates - for all countries including Australia
* Legal proof of any name changes by deed poll
* If divorced, your decree absolute
* If widowed, your spouses death certificate and previous marriage certificate
All marriages performed in Australia are fully recognized in your country |
